Initial Consultation / Setup Services (Freshwater / Saltwater)
Purpose: To assess the customer's tank and provide initial setup, maintenance, and care.
Services Included:

Offers a tailored solution to create an aquarium that aligns with your vision and budget. During the consultation, we will work with you to design an aquarium build that meets your specific needs and financial goals. Whether you prefer high-end, premium equipment or a more budget-conscious setup, we provide flexible options to suit your preferences.

Clients have the option to either purchase the equipment directly or allow First Due Aquatic Rescue, LLC to procure the necessary items on their behalf. If we handle the purchasing process, an itemized bill will be provided for transparency.

Once the equipment is selected, we will professionally install and set up all components of your aquarium to ensure proper functionality and optimal performance.

Pricing:
$40 (flat rate) for freshwater up to 10-50 gallons - additional mileage may apply based on location.
$100 (flat rate) for freshwater 55 - 100 gallons - - additional mileage may apply based on location.

$200.00 - 200+ gallons
*Price changes to hourly for saltwater systems due to complexity of saltwater systems*
$75/hour for saltwater up to 100 gallons
$125.00/hour for saltwater 100 - 200+ gallons
Water Change & Regular Maintenance (Freshwater / Saltwater)
Purpose: to maintain water quality and ensure a clean and healthy environment for the fish and plants.
Contract Minimum: 3 months or otherwise written - we will work with you! pay at time of service.
Services Included:
- Water change (up to 30% total volume) (100% water change = additional fee)
- Removal of excess waste and debris from substrate, aquascape, equipment, includes sump.
- Cleaning and rinsing of filters
- Cleaning of decorations and substrate (as needed)
- Water testing for major parameters (pH, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite) (ICP = additional charge)
- Removal of mild algae growth via scrub technique (on glass, decorations, etc.)
- Ideal for: Regular maintenance for tanks in good condition (one cleaning per month recommended, some tanks may need biweekly visits until problem is eradicated) preventing water quality issues and maintaining the aquarium’s overall health.
Freshwater Prices per visit
- Under 20 gallons: $30.00
- 20–50 gallons: $30.00 – $50.00
- 50 – 100 gallons: $50.00 - $100.00
- 100+ gallons: Custom pricing ($125+)
Saltwater Prices per visit
$70.00/Hour for tanks up to 150 gallons
$125.00/hour for tanks 150gallons+
for aquariums 200 gallons+ contact for pricing
Emergency Response / Troubleshooting (Freshwater / Saltwater (FOWLR ONLY AT THIS TIME))
- Purpose: To address urgent issues with the tank (e.g., equipment failure, disease outbreaks, water quality issues).
- Services Included:
- Rapid response to equipment failures (e.g., pump malfunction, heater failure)
- Water parameter testing and adjustments for emergencies (pH imbalance, ammonia spikes, etc.)
- Fish health check (for disease or parasites)
- Emergency water change (in case of water quality crash)
- Treatment for sick fish (if applicable)
please note, we will do our best to trouble shoot equipment malfunctions - in the event equipment has to be ordered, we will attempt to provide a loaner if product is avaiable for rental (for example heaters and renturn pumps) - we will have spare return pumps with various attachments in the event your return pump fails. flow rates may vary from your system until the replacement arrives. We will do our best to match the current flow rate.
- Ideal for: Urgent issues like equipment malfunction, tank crashes, or disease outbreaks.
Pricing: $100 – $200+ per visit depending on tank size and issue - additional mileage 0.50c/mile over 30 miles may apply based on location.
Moderate / Serve Algae Management and Removal
- Purpose: To address algae overgrowth, which can affect water quality and aesthetics.
- Services Included:
- Algae scraping from glass surfaces
- Algae removal from decorations and substrate
- Water testing to determine underlying causes (e.g., excess nutrients or lighting issues)
- Guidance on preventing future algae growth (adjusting lighting, nutrient control, etc.)
- May require biweekly water changes
- May require additives for control
- Ideal for: Clients dealing with an algae bloom or ongoing algae problems.
Pricing: $75 – $100+
Equipment Maintenance, and Repair (FRESH / SALTWATER)
- Purpose: To install, maintain, and repair aquarium equipment such as filters, heaters, pumps, reactors, UV, and lighting systems.
- Services Included:
- Installation of filters, pumps, heaters, UV, lighting systems, etc.
- Regular maintenance of equipment (cleaning, troubleshooting)
- Repair or replacement of malfunctioning equipment
- Recommendations for upgrades or energy-efficient solutions
- Ideal for: Customers needing assistance with setting up equipment or ongoing equipment maintenance.
Pricing: $50 – $200+ per service depending on tank size and complexity.
Aquarium Deep Clean / Reset (FRESH WATER / SALTWALTER (FOWLR SYSTEMS ONLY)
- Purpose: To do a thorough clean of the entire aquarium and reset it for a fresh start.
- Services Included:
- Removal of all fish and decorations
- Substrate cleaning or replacement
- Tank glass and filter cleaning
- Complete water change and new water conditioning
- Equipment inspection and setup
- Off site live rock "bleach curing" reset
Ideal for: Clients wanting to reset their tank after a problem (e.g., disease outbreak, algae bloom) or as part of regular care.
